Open Positions

This position will transport passengers on regularly scheduled routes and must possess a current California Driver's License with a clean record.

Essential Duties:

  • operate assigned school use vehicle on assigned trips in accordance with printed trip schedules and in accordance with specified stop, sequence, and time schedules;

  • Board, transport, and discharge passengers. Load, unload, and ensure security of, equipment and cargo.

  • Develop via-directions. Maintain and update current pupil and trip manifests, via-directions, and special instructions pertaining to daily assignments.

  • Inspect, verify, and monitor the operational condition and safety of vehicle accessories and assigned vehicles on a daily basis.

  • Practice non-aggressive, defensive driving techniques; anticipate and immediately report maneuvering, traffic, and time entrapments while operating OLP equipment.

  • Monitor gauges and sensors while operating vehicle, report discrepancies, and initiate corrective action

  • Monitor, conduct, and respond to communications with Transportation Services Department staff; communicate with the Director of Facilities or Transportation Lead on a daily basis regarding route or equipment problems, community/school staff special requests, or changes to daily assignments; maintain effective professional working relationships with pupils, parents, and school employees; enforce school policy and procedure.


  • CA Driver's License
  • Must meet all hiring criteria including, TB, COVID-19, CA Driver's License and background check clearance.

The Academy of Our Lady of Peace seeks substitute teachers who wants to make a positive impact on the lives of OLP students by upholding and communicating the school mission, philosophy, and core values.
Desirable skill sets include being well-versed in various forms and uses of technology including the use of Google for Education tools, Learning Management Systems (LMS), and emerging learning technologies. Applicants must show a willingness to support diverse student learners.




  • Provide supervision of instruction.
  • The substitute teacher will follow daily directions from the teacher of record.
  • Report on daily student progress.
  • Maintain classroom expectations.

The Academy of Our Lady of Peace (OLP) seeks an on-site temporary seasonal summer school teachers for a six-week session from June 10 through July 19, 2024, who wants to make a positive impact on the lives of young women by upholding and communicating the school mission, philosophy, and core values while modeling behavior that inspires academic excellence and an enthusiasm for learning in a culture that fosters support for one another. The Teacher will help students learn and grow to become young women of heart, faith, courage, and excellence in the spirit of our sponsoring religious order, the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet.
