Open Positions

We seek a dynamic partner to join our Math and STEM departments by way of Long-term Substitute Math Teacher. Educators applying should have experience with teaching high school math courses or the equivalent.

The Academy of Our Lady of Peace (OLP) seeks an on-site, Long-term Substitute Math Teacher. Under the supervision of the Assistant Head of School, the Teacher will plan and implement Math courses particularly in working with Geometry college-ready and honors level students.

This position will transport passengers on regularly scheduled routes and must possess a current California Driver's License with a clean record.


Essential Duties:

  • operate assigned school use vehicle on assigned trips in accordance with printed trip schedules and in accordance with specified stop, sequence, and time schedules;

  • Board, transport, and discharge passengers. Load, unload, and ensure security of, equipment and cargo.

  • Develop via-directions. Maintain and update current pupil and trip manifests, via-directions, and special instructions pertaining to daily assignments.

  • Inspect, verify, and monitor the operational condition and safety of vehicle accessories and assigned vehicles on a daily basis.

  • Practice non-aggressive, defensive driving techniques; anticipate and immediately report maneuvering, traffic, and time entrapments while operating OLP equipment.

  • Monitor gauges and sensors while operating vehicle, report discrepancies, and initiate corrective action

  • Monitor, conduct, and respond to communications with Transportation Services Department staff; communicate with the Director of Facilities or Transportation Lead on a daily basis regarding route or equipment problems, community/school staff special requests, or changes to daily assignments; maintain effective professional working relationships with pupils, parents, and school employees; enforce school policy and procedure.


Requirements/Qualifications

  • CA Driver's License
  • Must meet all hiring criteria including, TB, COVID-19, CA Driver's License and background check clearance.
