Each year, the Academy of Our Lady of Peace honors an alumna with the Sr. Claire Patrice Fitzgerald ’56 Alumna of the Year Award, recognizing a graduate who embodies the core values and ideals of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet. Over the past 39 years, this distinction has been awarded to 44 women whose leadership and lives reflect all that women are capable of achieving, exemplifying a woman of heart, faith, courage, and excellence.

On November 21, 2025, we had the privilege of honoring Dr. Teresa Hubka-Dunkas, Class of 1974, as the 2025 OLP Alumna of the Year during our inaugural Hall of Fame ceremony, a moment that beautifully celebrated her remarkable legacy.
Dr. Teresa Hubka-Dunkas ’74 is a pioneering physician and national medical leader whose life of resilience, faith, and service reflects the very heart of the Sisters of St. Joseph. We honor her as our 2025 Sr. Claire Patrice Fitzgerald Alumna of the Year for her unwavering commitment to healing, her groundbreaking leadership, and the inspiring way she uses her life to serve the dear neighbor.
