Boundless Journey Boundless Journey

Bob and Sherrill Baker were active philanthropists in the San Diego area. Married for 55 years, and the parents to five children. They devoted their lives to supporting Catholic charities, and in particular Catholic education. Here at the Academy of Our Lady of Peace, Sherrill and Bob Baker, following in the footsteps of Sherrill’s own all girls’ Catholic education, supported scholarships, the Holy Family Event Center, the Chapel restoration project, provided the first statue of St. Thérèse of Lisieux, and the eventual lead gift from Mr. Bob Baker for the St. Thérèse of Lisieux Library and Performing Arts Center. May the legacy of Sherrill and Bob Baker remain an inspiration to each of us about the necessity of not just sharing our gifts with others, but also the importance of becoming personally involved in our communities, and in doing so, letting Christ’s light shine for eternity.
