Senior Students Only on-campus, Parents and families view virtually
All senior students in the Class of 2021 will gather on North Terrace in their graduation gown, a face mask, and 6 feet physically distanced for our Baccalaureate Mass at OLP. Students will have access to the parking garage, front of school, West Lot, and be given Uber/Lyft discount codes for those over 18 years of age. Parents are encouraged to consider viewing parties with family members in their homes as no guests will be allowed on campus.
Those mothers who are OLP graduates will participate via Zoom in a special blessing ceremony. Special screens will be set-up to allow students to view virtual components of the event on Zoom, along with members of the faculty and staff. All parents, guests, and extended family will be provided a Livestream link. Additional cameras and lighting will be brought in to capture students throughout the event. Students will have a choice where they sit and whom they sit next to, which will be chosen at Graduation Rehearsal.
That evening, students will receive the traditional OLP graduation medal, and their Senior Box. The Senior Box will contain their gift from the Carry the Flame ceremony, their diploma for the commencement ceremony on Thursday, a ribbon lei, and other yet to be revealed surprises!
OLP will have photographers on campus to capture the evening, students together, and memories from the night. All photos taken this evening will all be available for free download for graduates and their family.

Del Mar Fairgrounds (Seniors and 4 Guests)
We are thrilled to announce that we have begun the process of planning for an in-person graduation to be held at the Historic Del Mar Fairgrounds! Like OLP, the Del Mar Fairgrounds are a part of San Diego's history. The beautiful grounds and oceanside breezes will surely provide a once in a lifetime OLP memory. Members of the OLP leadership team, in partnership with Encore Events, met with the event staff at the Del Mar Fairgrounds to begin preparations for Commencement planning for the Class of 2021. Graduation ceremonies will take place from the grandstand, as previously scheduled on Thursday, May 27 at 4:30 pm. Attendance at the Commencement will include, per the San Diego County and CDPH regulations, assigned seats for 4 guests per graduate, and will be livestreamed. All ticketed guests of graduates, assigned alphabetically by graduate’s last name, will be in the lower concourse section of the grandstands. All guests will be required to complete a COVID-19 screening in advance of the commencement ceremony.
For those graduates not wanting to attend in person, due to COVID-19 concerns, we will coordinate with the student a way for them to be viewed virtually via Zoom on the Fairground monitors. In that situation, you will receive your diploma the night before at Baccalaureate Mass.
For those OLP graduating parents wanting to include more than four of their family members, there will be seven suites available for auction at a future date—more details to come. Numbers in the suites vary based on size, and adhere to the current CDPH regulations for 20% indoor capacity and no more than three households present. You will be required to submit a list to OLP with all names of attendees present.
