Please note the following changes to the athletic clearance process: If you have already turned in your current physical (dated after June 2, 2019) to the school, there is no need to upload it again. Once your account has been reviewed, you will get a "You are cleared to try-out" email from Mr. Gonzalez. Please print and bring it to your coach on the first day of tryouts. This will be used as your tryout pass. You must turn this into your coach in order to tryout. Coaches will also have a roster of students cleared for participation.
As a reminder, you will still need to complete this process each time you try out for an OLP sport. Please email Assistant Principal/Director of Athletics, Mr. Aaron Gonzalez, at [email protected] with any questions.

Note: Athletes need to bring running shoes, shorts, sweats and a water bottle to try-outs. Please plan to arrive in shape and able to run at least three miles the first day of tryouts.
Varsity Tryouts consist of two 9-hole rounds:
Monday, August 5th - 9 Hole round at 3:00 at Riverwalk Golf Club - Meet at the range by 2:30
Tuesday, August 6th - 9 Hole round at 3:00 at Riverwalk Golf Course - Meet at the range by 2:30
August 12 & August 13 | 3:00-5:30 pm | For Frosh and new players to the program
August 14 | 3:00-5:30 pm | For returning JV players and those that made it through the first round of cuts
August 15 | 3:00-5:30 pm | For all players from previous days and returning Varsity
August 16 | 1:00-3:30 pm | For returning Varsity and players who make it through the second round of cuts

What to Bring: clearance form, water, sunscreen, tennis shorts/skirt (with pockets or places to hold tennis balls), t-shirt or tank top, tennis shoes, racket (better to have 2 in case a string breaks, but 1 is okay), small towel if needed/wanted

Ninth graders being considered for JV or Varsity may be asked to attend the grades 10-12 tryout session on Friday, August 2nd.

Note: All athletes will be evaluated in passing, setting, serving, hitting, blocking, and defense, as well as their ability to work well with others, communication, coach-ability, and overall potential.
