Girls entering 3rd, 4th, 5th or 6th grade in the fall can experience the magic of an all girls' school environment. Our wide variety of STEM-focused camps are taught by our experienced OLP faculty, students, and alumnae. Camps will take place from July 9th - July 20th, with each camp running one week long. Important** As the school year winds down, kindly settle any negative account balances with The French Gourmet/Common Grounds. Student yearbooks will not be released until all balances are paid in full. Beginning on Monday, May 7th, no charges can be made to student IDs with a zero or negative balance. AP Testing is the weeks of May 7 and May 14. Students are to report to their assigned testing rooms no later than 7:30am for the AM exams and 11:30am for the PM exams. Students must supply their own No. 2 pencils, pens and calculators.

We are happy to announce that OLP Athletics will be offering a competitive dance team for the 2018-2019 school year. Ms. Kelly Marshall will be the head coach and is excited to offer this new program to the students. Tryouts will be Friday, May 11 at 3:30-5:30 pm and Saturday, May 12 at 8:00 am-10:00 am in the OLP Dance Studio. In order to tryout, you will need to bring this completed waiver on the first day. The OLP Athletic Department will be having their annual physical day on Saturday, June 9, 2018. This is an opportunity to get a physical completed here on campus by a physician which will be valid for the entire 2018-2019 school year. On Saturday at the Regional Archery Competition held at Cetys University in Mexicali, Mexico, Lily Lucero '18 took home the bronze in the Women's Juniors class shot at 60 meters. On Sunday, the team competed in the Olympic Archery in Schools National Championship in San Diego. Isabella Velarde '19 placed 7th and Marian Isbell '19 placed 10th. Lily Lucero places 1st overall and is named the National Champion! What a fantastic season for the OLP Archery team!
The Varsity Pilots have officially been named the City League Champions for two seasons now! After beating Grossmont on Saturday 12-8 and Mission Bay on Tuesday 18-9, they are seeded #2 going into CIF Division II playoffs. As a higher seed, they receive a bye for the first round. On Tuesday, they will play the winner of #7 Mt. Carmel vs. #10 Grossmont. They game will be played at 5:30 pm at Hoover High School. Good luck Pilots!
Swim & Dive
Last Wednesday, the JV Swim & Dive team competed against Mira Mesa. Kyla Buss '21 swam personal best times in all 3 of her events and Jordan Wilson '21 bettered her time by 5 seconds in her 50 breaststroke. Kekoa Ulufanua '20 & Andrea Deinard '19 secured a guaranteed spot at CIF Championships by qualifying for the CIF Automatic Time Standard in the 100 breastroke. On Friday, Varsity competed against Scripps Ranch. Aimee Ramirez '21 made her Varsity cut in the 100 butterfly and Dayle Cowan '21 made her Varsity cut in the 100 backstroke and 100 freestyle. Bella Ah Moo '21 broke 30 seconds in her 50 freestyle and Claudia Sanchez '21 dropped over 6 seconds in her 100 freestyle time. Valerie Valdez '21 and Sarah Glick '21 dropped 2 seconds in their 50 freestyle. Gilly Folk '19 volunteered to swim in the last spot in the 500 freestyle and she swam butterfly the entire race! On Tuesday, the Varsity competed in the City Conference League Championships Preliminaries. Folk '19 made it to finals in her 200 freestyle (8th place) and her 100 butterfly (7th place). Kaitlyn Coons '20 made it to Finals in the 100 breaststroke (12th place). Deinard '19 also made it to finals in the 100 breastroke (14th place), Pearl Simonelli '21 made it to finals in her 100 backstroke (15th place). All 3 relays made it to finals as well.
