New Faculty and Staff

Welcome to Our New Faculty and Staff!

Karena Doan has joined us as the newest member of the counseling department.  Karena went to Middle School and High School in Poway and after completing her undergraduate degree at the University of San Diego, she spent a year in the Jesuit Volunteer Corps in Boston, MA. She then moved to the Bay Area and received her graduate degree from UC Berkeley in Social Work and continued on to do the College Counseling Certificate at UCLA extension and the School Counseling Credential from National University. Karena has been working in the public schools for the last 11 years, mostly at the High School level, with a three-year hiatus at the Middle School level. Karena had the fortune of reading for UC Berkeley admissions for two admissions cycles to give her insight on the admissions and holistic review process. She loves working with High School students on planning for their futures, both in college and career exploration. Karena is pictured below with her husband and beautiful daughter.

Sandra Revilla-Harker will be serving as Alma Kim’s long-term sub through February 2019. Sandra recently moved from San Jose, CA and has taught Spanish for more than 13 years.

Lauren Sullivan has accepted the long-term substitute position for Krystle Cabrera.  She will be at OLP through the beginnng of March. Lauren recently relocated to San Diego from Maryland. This is her 8th year of teaching English and her first experience teaching in an all-girls school.
We are so blessed to have found such wonderful partners. Please join me in welcoming Karena, Sandra and Lauren!
