Retreat Week 2018

We are excited to offer our first Retreat Week on January 8–11, 2018. The purpose of Retreat Week is threefold:

1) We value the faith formation experience of each student and want to prioritize it with time and attention.
2) All faculty & staff will be able to support the faith experience of our students.
3) Students will no longer be required to miss valuable class instructional time to participate in OLP retreats and, by occurring prior to the start of the second semester of classes, students will be able to focus solely on their retreat and faith experience.

Also new this year and going forward, there are no additional fees to participate in OLP retreats, as all costs are covered through tuition. As such, participation in retreat week is considered mandatory for all students.

What to Wear and Bring

What to Wear?
Students are encouraged to wear appropriate and comfortable clothing during Retreat Week activities. As a reminder, attire should reflect good taste and appropriateness for a school setting as outlined in the Parent/Student Handbook.

Sophomores should wear an OLP shirt or sweatshirt with jeans on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 for their day of service in the community. Some service projects will require landscaping work and others will require interaction with food preparations. Please dress accordingly.

What to Bring?
All students should bring a reusable water bottle with them for any retreat days that take place at OLP. As part of our commitment to be good stewards of our Earth, plastic water bottles will not be available.

Students should also apply sunscreen. Phones are welcome; however, students will be asked to silence and put away their phones during all programming to enhance the overall sense of community.

Please read the details of your class retreat experience to see if you need to bring a lunch with you. Most days of the retreat include snacks and various meals.
