Biography:

Mrs. Vasconcelos has been teaching American Sign Language at OLP since 2016. She is also an interpreter with an emphasis in Deaf-Blind adults and children with multiple disabilities. Born in Brazil, Mrs. Vasconcelos first got involved with the Deaf community while she was working towards her undergraduate in social work. She worked as a Brazilian Sign Language interpreter for five years and acquired two degrees from San Diego Mesa College in ASL studies and ASL/English Interpretation upon moving to the United States. Mrs. Vasconcelos is also a product of Catholic education, having attended Catholic school from 2-17 years old.
