Biography:

Mrs. Nicole Rayner joined OLP’s faculty in 2013. As a graduate from the CSJ-sponsored St. Joseph’s Academy in Baton Rouge, LA, she has experienced firsthand the superior spiritual and intellectual education imparted by the Sisters of Saint Joseph. Her love of the French language stems from her exposure to two Francophone cultures: south Louisiana, where she was raised, and the French-speaking part of Switzerland, where her father was born. An inspiring high school French teacher instilled in Mrs. Rayner the desire to embrace all aspects of the French language and culture and to become an educator.

Mrs. Rayner married a Navy medical corps officer in 1991 and eventually moved to San Diego in 1995. She has taught English as a second language and French at the high school and community college levels. As a committed Catholic school parent, she has been a member of the Nazareth School and St. Augustine High School communities.
