This course fulfills one semester of the PE graduation requirement.

Course Description:
All Fitness Levels Welcome! Strength training is the main focus for this semester course. Fitness doesn’t just happen inside a gym; students will also have the opportunity to participate in a variety of field trips which may include: rock climbing, hiking, trampoline aerobics, spin, beach training, obstacle course training, kayaking or other popular fitness activities. Activities will build student knowledge on how to design a personal fitness program through the manipulation of training variables to achieve a desired outcome. The course will also focus on expanding students’ knowledge regarding muscular strength/endurance, flexibility, core fitness, nutrition, and body composition.

Note: There will be 3-5 fitness field trips taken during the semester; actual destinations depend upon availability. There will be student out-of-pocket expenses no more than $35.
