DEPARTMENT OFFERINGS
Computer Applications
This class begins with the history of computers and a detailed description of computer components. Units of particular emphasis include: Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access and Power Point); Macromedia Studio MX 2004 (Fireworks, Dreamweaver, Flash and Freehand). Students will also learn the basics of computer networking. Students will design and create their own web page.
Web Page Design
Students will learn to create their own web page using HTML language along with web design software to include: Macromedia Studio MX 2004 (Fireworks, Dreamweaver, Flash and Freehand), Adobe Acrobat and Notepad. Digital cameras and scanners will be used in conjunction with graphics software to create digital images. Students will learn to upload (FTP) files to the internet.
