MISSION STATEMENT
The Alumnae Association of the Academy of Our Lady of Peace includes all students who have attended the school for at least one semester. Our mission is to uphold the call to live as women of peace that the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet have fostered since the Academy was founded in 1882. The Association is dedicated to nurturing the bonds that occurred among us while at the Academy and to promoting goodwill and support for the school and the alumnae into the 21st century.
The Association commits itself to these goals:
Stimulating and perpetuating the close relationships students established while on campus.
Serving the Academy as a resource for alumnae, students, faculty, administrators and parents.
Providing financial support for students and the Academy

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
The following jobs are ones for which we can use volunteers. Contact the Alumnae Office at (619) 297-2266, ext. 136 or olpalum@eudoramail.com if you would like to help with any of these.
Alumnae Mother-Daughter Luncheon: Volunteers are needed to help serve lunch in September to Alum mothers and their daughters who are currently attend OLP.
Reunion Committees: Is your class scheduled to hold a reunion this year? Call and offer to work on the committee planning the activities. You'll have even more time to spend with your former classmates!
"Survival Treats": The Alumnae Association puts together little treats to help current OLP students "survive" finals. Volunteers are needed in January to put them together and distribute them to the students.
Alumnae-Senior Lunch: The Alumnae Association treats the graduating seniors and their "big sisters" (graduates from two years ago) to a continental breakfast at the end of the year. Volunteers are needed to help with food and passing out a small gift to the graduates.
Development Office Opportunities: Many of the events sponsored by the Development Office have an Alumnae component. Volunteers and goods and services are needed for the Auction Dinner-Dance and the Golf Tournament. Call (619) 297-2266, ext. 136 for further information.
AOLP MEMORY PAGE
Do you have a tale to tell about your memories at the Academy? Would you share it with us for? We would like to begin collecting memories about the Academy that could be read by all of us. Eventually we'll add material from the OLP archives. Here's an example of what we are looking for:
Remember when Chris Coles '62 would have a pocketful of mini marshmallows and another pocketful of Vienna sausages at the Candlelight Procession, and she would put a toothpick into a marshmallow or a sausage, roast it over her candle and pass it back to a classmate?!
Your memories can be funny or serious...maybe even a reflection of what OLP has meant to you. So think back to your school days and start typing...we can't wait to see what you remember!
