Madeleine Ota '14 Takes On Both Ancient & Modern Worlds

Madeleine Ota '14 has had an exciting journey at Stanford University over the last three years, including an underwater excavation and a glimpse into the ancient world through a 5,000-year-old beer recipe. Read about her accomplishments here.

Jewel Jubilee Celebration

Alumnae from the Classes of 1947, 1952, 1957 and 1962 are invited to the Jewel Jubilee Celebration on Tuesday, March 21, 2017. Join us for brunch, campus tours, St. Joseph's Day Mass and lunch with CSJ Sisters. Learn more and RSVP here.

The Strength of Shared Roots

Kara Johnson and Natalie Kapp '13 were classmates at OLP, but their friendship didn't blossom until they began the Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps Program at Villanova University. Read their story through Natalie's eyes here.

Using Facebook to Keep in Touch

After celebrating their official 40th reunion at OLP, members of the Class of 1975 consistently reach out to each other to share life updates and plan reunions in a Facebook group. In November, the class coordinated a spa weekend at the Catamaran: after being pampered, they enjoyed dinner at Tio Leo's and brunch at Swami's Cafe. As Ginny Bower '75 says, "We have a wonderful class," which makes keeping in touch easy and rewarding.

Alumna of the Year Award

The Alumna of the Year award is given to a woman whose values and accomplishments are consistent with the mission, core values and ideals of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet and OLP. This alumna exemplifies a woman of peace who will serve as an inspiration for future generations. The 2016 winner is Sr. Virginia Rodee '53, RSCJ. You can read about her in the Winter 2016 edition of the OLP Magazine.

The Archives Room

We need your help populating the Archives Room in effort to preserve OLP's rich history. The room holds yearbooks from 1945, uniforms from different eras, Sodality pins, and scrapbook albums made by students from the 1920s to the present. Its contents are ever-growing, and we are always accepting photos, publications and memorabilia. If you are interested in making a donation, please contact Alexis Rodriguez at alumnae@aolp.org or (619) 297-9125.
